Voicing the Five Elements

Use your voice, breath, and movement to release stress and feel like yourself again.

New to sound and energy work?

What is "sonic anatomy"?

It's the idea that different sounds affect different parts of your body, the same way a lullaby calms a baby, or your favorite song gives you goosebumps. In this practice, you make specific sounds on purpose (humming, toning, simple vocal sounds) to help certain parts of your body relax and let go of tension.

What is "energy medicine"? Your body isn't just skin, muscles, and bones. It also has energy moving through it, kind of like electricity running through a wire. When you're stressed, tired, or holding onto something (an old worry, a tight shoulder, a rough week), that energy can get stuck. You might feel it as tension, feeling foggy, or just feeling "off." Energy medicine uses gentle tools like sound, breath, and movement to help that energy move again, so you feel more like yourself.

What are the "Five Elements"? This comes from Chinese medicine. It says everyone has five elements inside them: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal, the same way nature does. Each one connects to a different part of your body and a different feeling. When one gets out of balance (too much Fire can feel like burnout; too much Water can feel like fear or freezing up), you feel it. This course gives you one short practice for each element, so you can bring things back into balance.

About This Course

This is a follow-along course inspired by Eden Energy Medicine and Sonic Anatomy. It uses specific sounds and tones to work with different parts of the body.

You'll move through five short practices, one for each element: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal. Each one blends simple movement, sound, and breath. No dance background or "good" singing voice required. Just show up and follow along and see what unfolds.

What's Included

  • One 10-minute version for busy days

  • A short practice for each of the five elements

  • Simple explanations of the sound and voice work as you go, so nothing feels mysterious

Meet Your Guide

Hi, I'm Priscilla. I'm a sound healer and movement teacher, and I run Cilly Wellness here in Tacoma.

I learned from teachers like Donna Zontok, Donna Eden, and Lauren Walker, and studied Sonic Anatomy through Sing the Body Electric. Over the years I've mixed those teachings with my own love of music and movement to build practices that feel safe and doable, even if all of this is brand new to you.

In this course, I'll walk you through the five elements one at a time, using sound, breath, and movement to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more like yourself.
